Each of us have the responsibility to prevent harm
Sexual assault is an unfortunate reality. It happens in Montana and it happens in our community. It’s a hard topic for everyone. At Starlight Reunion we believe in creating a safe space for all humans. That’s why we take this seriously.
If you had an issue at one of our events, please utilize one of the many local resources available to you or reach out to us.
- Call the YWCA at 406-542-1944 if you would like support or are unsure what to do
- Contact First Step at 406-329-5776

What Can I do?
Everyone benefits from accountability
We can only make change when we are accountable to each other and ourselves.
If you see something, say something. There’s no clear-cut rules for this stuff. Following consent culture is key. Trust your gut. Look out for your community members and use your grown-up words. You can do it! Some people may not even realize their actions are gross. A simple “knock it off” might be the three words that prevent further bad decisions from happening.
If you are unsure about the severity of the situation, we ask you to talk to someone you trust or call the YWCA.

What we are not
Starlight Reunion is not law enforcement.
Starlight Reunion is not a judge.
Starlight Reunion is not a lawmaker.
what we ARE
We are a community of humans that have shared values with a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual assault.
We BELIEVE VICTIMS
We ENCOURAGE everyone to use LOCAL RESOURCES
We believe in CALLING IN instead of CALLING OUT
Calling out: Publicly naming the harm, often with strong emotions like anger, to draw attention to the problem.
Calling in: Privately responding to the person and gently explaining why their behavior needs to change, engaging in deeper discussion and reflection.
