Starlight Thursdays Mix Submission and Release Agreement
Starlight Reunion, a Montana 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Missoula, Montana
Last updated: 08-27-2026
1. About Starlight Thursdays
Starlight Thursdays is Starlight Reunion’s weekly DJ mix series, hosted by Starlight Reunion and created by Montana DJs. A new episode is released every Thursday on the Starlight Reunion SoundCloud channel and distributed through Starlight Reunion Radio on Apple Podcasts, YouTube, YouTube Music, Twitch, the Starlight Reunion website, and Starlight Reunion social media.
This agreement is how we confirm that you have given us permission to release your mix. Please read it before you submit. Checking the agreement box on the submission form means you agree to everything below. If anything here does not work for you, tell us before you submit and we will talk it through.
2. What “the Mix” means
“The Mix” means the recorded DJ mix you submit through the Starlight Thursdays submission form, along with any artwork, photos, bio, questionnaire answers, track list, and other written material you send with it.
3. Permission to release
You grant Starlight Reunion a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, stream, broadcast, publish, distribute, archive, and promote the Mix on any platform Starlight Reunion uses now or in the future, including SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, YouTube Music, Twitch, the Starlight Reunion website, Starlight Reunion social media, and playback at Starlight Reunion events.
This permission does not expire and cannot be withdrawn. Once the Mix is published, you cannot require Starlight Reunion to take it down, unpublish it, or remove it from the archive. The series is a continuous numbered archive, and removing episodes breaks it.
4. Editing and presentation
Starlight Reunion may add an intro, outro, episode number, artwork, title, description, tags, and metadata; adjust levels and audio quality; and cut short excerpts for promotion. Starlight Reunion will not materially change the musical content of your mix without asking you first.
5. Exclusivity
You confirm that the Mix was made for Starlight Thursdays and has not been released anywhere else.
You agree not to post, upload, stream, sell, or otherwise release the Mix, in whole or in part, on any platform or as part of any other release, without written permission from Starlight Reunion in advance. Written permission means an email or text from a Starlight Reunion representative. We grant exceptions regularly and are happy to be asked. If you release the Mix without permission, you agree to remove it within seven (7) days of Starlight Reunion asking you to.
Sharing, reposting, and embedding the published Starlight Reunion link is always welcome and encouraged.
6. Your name, photo, and story
You give Starlight Reunion permission to use your DJ name, likeness, photo, bio, questionnaire answers, and social media handles to promote the Mix, the series, and Starlight Reunion’s programs.
7. Ownership
You keep ownership of your own creative contribution to the Mix. Starlight Reunion owns the episode packaging it creates, including episode artwork, episode numbering, the written description, and any promotional material Starlight Reunion produces.
8. Music in the Mix
You understand that the Mix contains recordings owned by other people, and that Starlight Reunion is publishing it as a DJ mix in the way that is customary for the format. You confirm that you have not knowingly included anything you were asked not to release, such as unreleased promos or edits shared with you in confidence.
If a platform mutes, blocks, monetizes, or removes the Mix because of a copyright claim, that is outside Starlight Reunion’s control, and Starlight Reunion is not responsible for it. If a claim is brought over material you supplied, you agree to work with Starlight Reunion in responding to it and not to hold Starlight Reunion responsible for it.
9. No payment, no obligation to release
Starlight Thursdays is an unpaid, volunteer-run program of a nonprofit. No fee, royalty, or other compensation is owed to you, and you are not an employee, contractor, or partner of Starlight Reunion. Starlight Reunion is not obligated to release the Mix, to release it on any particular date, or to promote it in any particular way, and may decline, delay, or later remove any episode at its own discretion.
10. General terms
This is the entire agreement between you and Starlight Reunion regarding the Mix, and it replaces anything discussed beforehand. Any change to it has to be in writing and agreed to by both sides. It is governed by the laws of the State of Montana. If any part of it turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
